About Fond Farewell

In his final days, my dad was no longer able to speak, and writing had become incredibly challenging for him.

After he passed, the last thing I was prepared to do was call his friends, colleagues and the professional associations he had been a part of. It was so overwhelming, in my grief, to say over and over again that my dad was gone. I was so grateful for our community who helped as they could. Even so, I know we missed out on connecting with some of his longtime friends he hadn't spoken to in a while.

This experience prompted me to create Fond Farewell. The app makes it easier to share meaningful messages with the people you care most about, and it ensures your longtime friends from far and wide receive your kind words and know how much they meant to you. In a time of heartbreak and grief, it takes some of the weight off your family as they navigate through their time of loss.

Fond Farewell was created from my heart to help others say what matters most to the people they care about, in their own words, while they can. My wish is that this app not only brings comfort to those who use it, but also to their families and friends, who receive a loving and thoughtful message at a difficult time.
